Looking for Timmy is a slow-burn horror story that pays off in troves. It reminded me of those old, scary radio shows that seemed normal and familiar at first, but were full of fresh scares and surprises the more you listened. Similarly, Looking for Timmy starts out enjoyable enough, but by the end, I couldn't put it down.

The story revolves around two kids who are visiting their grandparents' farm for the summer (and possibly longer), and stumble upon a long-buried secret concerning a woman and her little boy. Slowly, each layer of the secret is pulled back, revealing the horrifying truth--until all hell breaks loose. I don't want to spoil the fun, but there are wandering ghosts, a whole lot of hungry wolves, and empty graves behind every turn.

I read Looking for Timmy while on vacation, and despite being exhausted each day, it kept me on my toes while reading well into the night. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a fun and spooky book that you can't put down.
